I just can't believe it.

God DAMNIT that movie was incredible.


Those are the exact words I exclaimed while talking to Kate about this flick on the way back to my house.


I have anticipated this movie for a year, but absolutely I had doubts. I knew that there would be an aspect or two that I wouldn't care for.


I was wrong , wrong, wrong.



Batman Begins, introduced a new style of story telling and characterization of my favorite comic book characters that I absolutely loved, but was not without flaws that kept it from being a unique comic book movie.



The Dark Knight, regardless of what other people may say, was perfection.


Ledger left this existence with the best role he's ever had.


His villain was better than ANY villain I've ever seen in cinema

If Javier Bardem can win an oscar for portraying Anton Chicurh in No Coutnry for Old men, or Forest Whittaker for his villainous president in The Last King of Scotland, or Denzel for Training Day... Ledger more than deserves a fucking award for this masterpiece.


He wasn't even there, Heath Ledger, just the madman he put together.





These are bold claims, I know, but fuck it if I didn't mean it. I know they won't be shared by everyone. However I can't imagine anyone leaving this flick without having enjoyed enough of the NUMEROUS reasons to like it.




The action was gritty and violent and so so exhilarating.






TWO FACE....whom was given damn near NOTHING in terms of advertisement, was a spectacle of pain and revenge.




And wait until you see his charred face. You've never seen Two Face like this.





Joker. This is the most layered, odd, and chaotic version of the character I have ever seen, rivaling even the best portrayals in the comics.





This is the best BATMAN movie EVER made.




So many scenes were actually applauded, especially the second time Joker walked on screen, almost mocking the how his laughter is written in the comic with a droll spoken " HA ho ho hee"
....followed by him jamming a man's head into a pencil



Some of the tragedies resulted in real emotional reaction from everyone in the audience.



Christopher Nolan has made a film that stands apart from standard comic book flicks. This movie is an in depth crime drama, with many mafioso types displaying their inner workings, and Batman, the police, and Harvey Dent trying to bring them down through law, and straight up battle.




And in then center of it all is The Joker, with almost no purpose to any of his actions, or to even his existence other than to murder and introduce chaos to all around him.



This movie has set a standard that will take SO much to match let alone top.



I can't wait to see it again.
